For gestation/lactation dogs: feed enough to maintain the ideal body weight. The amount of food may need to increase 2 – 4 times the listed amount.
To help your pet adjust without digestive upset, we recommend transitioning gradually over 7 to 10 days:
- Days 1–2: Start with 25% new food mixed with 75% of their current food
- Days 3–4: Go to a 50/50 mix of new and old
- Days 5–6: Shift to 75% new food and just 25% of the old
- Day 7+: Full switch to 100% new food
Some pets might do well with a slightly faster transition, while others (especially those with sensitive stomachs or food allergies) might need a bit more time—listen to your pet and adjust as needed.
